Automated Blinds are a great solution if you wish to shade your home with ease and market-leading technology. We have a variety of different options so you can improve your home with style and simplicity.
Why Choose Automated over Manual Blinds?
Manual blinds are a simple solution for your everyday window as they still offer shading, temperature control and glare reduction as with most of our bespoke window blinds. However, electric blinds can really elevate your home and give you more control. With electric blinds, you can shade your home from a distance such as from another room or even when you aren’t at home.
Additionally, if you are controlling many blinds or shading a large area of glazing, it can be a lot easier to control your blinds all at once (or one at a time) via home automation.
Where Can I Put Automated Blinds?
As mentioned, motorisation is a great addition when controlling many blinds like within a conservatory or even a lantern roof. However, most people opt for our horizontal lantern roof blinds when trying to find out what are the best roof lantern blinds.
By grouping your blinds together, you can close all the blinds in your roof at once without having to manually use a pole to shut each blind. Or, you can shut or open one or two so you have more control of your shading. Our conservatory roof blinds are a great solution if you are wondering how to keep your conservatory cool, as most of the heat in your conservatory comes from above so by using products like our Duette® thermal blinds, you have higher control of your temperature.
Large installations like apex windows or bifold doors are also the optimal place to install electric blinds. Due to the height of floor-to-ceiling windows it makes them difficult shade without home automation.
Since we are experts in triangular window blinds we can also go that extra step and ensure our apex blinds cover your glazing neatly whilst also giving you the option to cover your bifold doors below with the same blind, should you wish.
Bifold doors can stretch across the entire width of your wall in some cases which can mean many bi-fold door blinds. Motorised roller blinds for bifold doors can cover your glazing with fewer blinds and less effort. You can also read more about our bespoke options for home automation roller blinds.
Types of Control
We know every house is different, so we offer many different options for motorisation too. Our most popular options include:
- Remote Control Blinds: Which are most effectively used for conservatory blinds as you can control up to 99 blinds with our puresolo™ exclusive remote. We have other remote options to choose from specifically designed for conservatories. However, we can connect a remote to many other blinds throughout your home.
- Battery-powered Blinds: These are optimal if you don’t have a power-source nearby but still wish to have automated blinds. The batteries even have the option of being solar-charged, which is great for Lantern Roof Blinds.
- Smart Blinds: With our smart blinds option, you can connect your blinds to an app on your phone and a smart home device. With a smart home device, you can control your blinds via your voice or set them on a timer. If you use our Somfy® app, then you can shade your home even when you’re out of the house
