Can I get Gable End Blackout Blinds?
The standard glazing shape is often rectangular, whether that be on doors, windows or skylights. However, if you have more unique triangular window blinds you will have to look further to find a shading solution. Look at Specialist Blinds! Standard blind companies often struggle to cover odd-shaped windows and those that can have to use many individual blinds. As you can see from the images below, our gable blinds cover your windows from edge to edge typically using only two blinds. Additionally, our pureaspect™ technology ensures we can cover your window without any excess strings or wires hanging over your glazing. Our gable blinds are specifically designed to retract away neatly and discreetly, leaving your view uninterrupted.
Apex Window Blinds
Gables are triangular-shaped windows that often follow a vaulted roof structure to create a space filled with natural light. Therefore they can be taller apex windows that can reach meters in height – sometimes with bifold doors beneath. With our market-leading technology and experience, we are able to cover floor-to-ceiling apex blinds with just one or two blinds.
As you can see from the video below, we can craft blinds that drop over the angle of your window and then lower to cover the standard shape below. However, some people opt for gable blinds and bifold door blinds separately.
For larger areas of glazing and taller blinds like these, we would recommend installing automated blinds otherwise navigation can be difficult. In the video below, our customer chose to have Somfy® TaHoma smart blinds. However, we also offer remote control blinds and battery-operated blinds.

All the above photos and videos have featured gable end blackout blinds in a variety of shades – so yes, it’s possible!
We highly recommend our dim-out Duette® thermal blinds for bedrooms and cinema rooms as they are perfect for blocking out most light and giving you maximum privacy. They also give you a layer of insulation that reflects heat in the summer but retains it in the winter. However we have a wider range of blackout fabrics available that we prefer to refer to as dim-out blinds since there will often be slight light seepage at the edges.
