BI-FOLD DOOR BLINDS

Many people chose to fit made to measure bi-fold door blinds, they increase the shade and privacy of the room while still keeping the flexibility of being able to completely fold the doors back.

The most popular types of blinds for folding doors are Duette^®, Pleated, Roller and Pinoleum blinds. We recommend blinds which are recessed into the door frame so that they’re not in the way of locks and handles.

Perfect Fit blind frames aren’t recommended because the frame will often cause obstruction issues. Our blinds can be used with a wide variety of folding doors, including doors with Timber, Aluminium or UPVC frames as well as slimline folding doors.

A dynamic duo of our Duette® and Roller blinds combined on a dark set of bifold doors. This allows for a blackout style with both blinds down as further insulation to the customer’s room.

Duette® Blinds on Bi-Folding Doors

These bi-folding doors have been fitted with the drill-free Tru-Fit Blinds, using Duette^® bifold door blind fabrics. Tru-Fit blinds have a minimal profile, making them suitable to be used in folding doors as they won’t interfere with the operation of the doors.

DUETTE® WINDOW AND FOLDING DOOR BLINDS

This orangery style glass extension features our bespoke Duette® pleated blinds; perfect for side windows and folding doors. This particular glass extension is used as a kitchen and dining; so the customer wanted a product which could help to reduce glare and control temperatures throughout the year.

The customer opted for our Tru Fit system, a drill free option which allows for the blinds to be controlled from both the top and bottom of the window or door. This then provides the customer with complete control when it comes to shading their glass extension.

Finally, Duette® Blinds have been designed to tackle problems with glare and temperature control. As a result, this customer was left satisfied with a room that can now be used all year round.

FOLDING DOOR BLINDS FOR MODERN KITCHEN EXTENSION

This modern kitchen extension with folding doors features our Duette® bifold door blinds that are recess-fit.

Depending on the number of folding doors you have; it can be like an entire wall of your house is one giant window. With the darker evenings, this means a dramatic reduction in privacy throughout the night. Extensions with large amounts of glazing also make the temperature of the room considerably hotter in the summer months. Our Duette® bi-fold door blinds are a popular choice as they help to control temperature and decrease glare while keeping to keep the room cool throughout the warmer months.⁠

Tru-Fit Blinds in Bi-Folding Doors

These wooden bi-folding doors have been fitted with the drill-free Tru-Fit Blinds, using Duette^® fabrics. Tru-Fit blinds have a minimal profile, making them suitable to be used as blinds for bi-fold doors as they won’t interfere with the operation of the doors.

The Tru-Fit blinds have what’s called a floating rail, meaning that the blind can be operated both from the top down and the bottom up. This gives complete control over your shading, as you can adjust the position of the blind to cover wherever the sun may be in the sky.

Duette^® Blinds are ideal blinds for folding doors as they are able to be recessed fitted into the door frames, so they are excellent at reducing heat and light coming into a room.

Our recess-fitted bi-fold door blinds are design to retract away as neatly as possible, so they cover as little of the glass as possible when not in use.

Roller blinds are best used alongside individual blinds for each panel, giving you flexibility in how your room is shaded. This lets you have the best possible insulation during the colder months.

Our kitchen/diner is south facing with one wall taken up by bifold doors. In the summer (when the sun is out) the kitchen can overheat somewhat so we were after a product that protected us from heat in the summer and kept warmth in during the winter.

The survey and fitting were delivered with absolute professionalism (they make it look so easy). The blinds fit perfectly, look great and are easy to operate.

Importantly they work perfectly (though they haven't been tested in winter yet); they make such a difference to our house.
