Conservatory-style roofs are now becoming more popular as part of an extension to a house. As a result, we are seeing a lot of glazed roofs in rooms; which are used on a daily basis throughout the year. This was the case with a recent customer in Brighton, who had an extension to her kitchen that included a glazed roof which had a dramatic effect on the temperature in the room during sunny weather.  To solve the problem, she contacted us and we fitted our pure™ Pleated Blinds to the roof to help keep out the heat.

Customer Review

This customer recently left feedback for bespoke kitchen extension blinds on our Checkatrade page after having used the blinds throughout the end of the summer and into the autumn and winter; talking about how our blinds have made the room more comfortable, as well as praising our sales and installation teams:

We have a glass-roofed side extension to our kitchen which made the room unbearably hot in sunny weather. The blinds that Conservatory Blinds installed have made a huge difference, making the room comfortable all year round.

The salesman that came was knowledgeable and businesslike. He did not employ double-glazing-style selling techniques which some other blinds companies went for. We were not strong-armed or made to feel that we had to sign right then.

The young man who installed the blinds was punctual, friendly, quick and polite. All in all it was a pleasant experience.”

Get Ahead of The Weather

It may seem like the wrong time of year to even start thinking about how warm your conservatory will get during sunny weather, but we always try and stress the importance of adding blinds to a conservatory or extension before the weather starts to become a problem.

If you have a glass roof extension as part of a room you use all the time as this customer did, and you can remember how warm it got during the summer, then make sure you solve the problem before it starts again. Getting your blinds during the winter means that not only will your conservatory or extension be ready for the warm weather, but you’ll also enjoy the benefits of reduced glare and increased privacy all year round, as well as being able to take advantage of some of the amazing discounts available at this time of year.
