Triangular shaped windows are becoming more and more common in homes across the UK. Whereas some of these are in the form of large gable windows, in some cases it can just be a small triangular shape at the top of a window to fit against a sloping roof. Having a shape anything other than a standard rectangle or square instantly makes it a lot harder to get blinds that fit properly; making finding the right blinds for triangle window shapes like this a problem a lot of people are now experiencing.
This was the case for a recent customer in Central London. They had several windows and doors across the property that had small triangular shapes at the top. They were looking for blinds that could cover the entire area, as their current blinds – fitted by another company – could not do that.
Before and After
As you can see from the “before” photo, while the old roller blinds could just about fit into the square windows, they were totally inadequate for the gable shape above the doors. Using our pureaspect™ Gable Blinds, not only were we able to cover the entire area but we were able to do so with just a single blind.
The same was true for the blinds in their kitchen area. Except in this case, one of the sets of doors did not have an existing blind on it; most likely because there wasn’t enough space to fit the roller blind above the doors. Again, with our bespoke blinds we were able to totally and neatly cover the area.
Retract Away Neatly
One of the biggest advantages of our pureaspect system is that they can retract away neatly. Because we can cover the area in just a single blind, that means there are no ugly interim rails or fabric visible when the blind is retracted; keeping the views from the windows and making the blinds look almost invisible.
Motorisation
With the previous blinds the customer had to operate the blinds manual via a cord. These new bespoke blinds are totally motorised, using battery powered motors to easily control the blinds. It’s only because of our years of experience with blinds like this that we can neatly add motorisation even with these types of blinds for triangle window shapes.
