A conservatory filled with light is a joy, but it can become a furnace in summer or a chilly space in winter. Electric blinds for conservatories offer elegant, high-performance shading with one-touch control. Here’s why electric conservatory blinds are a smart choice.

Is it worth getting electric conservatory blinds?

Absolutely. Motorised blinds offer a lot of benefits over manual blinds – especially in a conservatory. With the large amount of glazing a room like a conservatory can have, that can lead to having a lot of individual blinds. Instead of having to operate each blind manually, a motorised system allows you to operate them all together or in groups as well.

Our Pure™ Power system, crafted in our factory in Ashford, Kent, was designed for large glazed areas such as conservatories. The motors are up to five times faster than others and can be controlled via remote or app. They’re ideal for conservatory roofs and windows where manual operation would be awkward.

How do conservatory blinds save energy?

Conservatory roof blinds significantly reduce glare and help regulate temperature. Duette® Thermal blinds trap heat in winter and reflect it away in summer giving you year-round comfort and our Pinoleum blinds offer added insulation, especially when combined with solar linings.

Do electric blinds look bulky?

Not at all. Our slim Pure™ Power top rails are deliberately discreet, allowing multiple conservatory blinds to operate without obstructing the glass or aesthetics.

Can I group and control many blinds?

Yes. Our Pure Solo™ system can operate up to 99 blinds individually or in groups, perfect for complex conservatory setups and with the Pure Solo™ Connect app, control is available right at your fingertips.

Are they safer than manual blinds?

Certainly. They eliminate the need for cords and reach-extending poles. Our remote control system keeps everything sleek and child-safe. However, it’s personal choice, we do also offer manually controlled options that are still child and pet safe.

Can they work with home automation?

Yes. Our motorised conservatory blinds can connect to many home automation platforms, including Somfy®, Lutron®, Creston Electronics®, Rako Controls® or Control4®, enabling you to integrate blinds with lighting, heating, security systems and more.

What about the maintenance?

With our quality Pure™ Power system, you’ll enjoy reliable performance and ongoing support through our MyBlinds maintenance guides including clean and tune-up advice.

How much do electric conservatory blinds cost?

As with any bespoke product, the best of electric conservatory blinds will vary depending on the exact amount and specification of the blinds. However when compared to manual blinds, motorisation can add quite significantly to the price – however a lot of people are happy to take this increase in cost for the benefits motorisation brings.

The best way to get a price for motorised conservatory blinds is to arrange a meeting with one of our consultants.
