Home automation and smart home devices are becoming more and more popular. There is a wide range of devices around the home able to be controlled via phone or even voice. Now we are able to offer that level of control to our blinds, as we expand our range of home automation blinds to include the two main ranges of Somfy® home automation systems.

We are able to connect our blinds to the Somfy® Connexoon and TaHoma systems. This allows you to control your blinds via a simple smartphone, tablet app or smart home device. Therefore, you can control your blinds from anywhere in your home, or even when you’re out of the house. This is excellent if you want to:

  • Increase security while you’re away
  • If you want to extend your blinds before you arrive home
  • Open or close your blinds when the weather changes

Somfy® home automation – Connexoon

The Connexoon is the simpler of the home automation devices. This is ideal if you just want to control your blinds with your phone. You are able to use the phone and tablet app to control each blind individually, as well as set up pre-programmed scenarios. You can even set your blinds to a timer, so they automatically extend or retract at certain times of the day.

Somfy® home automation – TaHoma

The Somfy® TaHoma system is the more advanced option. This allows you to control not only your blinds but a wide variety of compatible add-ons such as:

  • Alarms
  • Lights
  • Sensors
Like the Connexoon system, it allows you to use timers and pre-programmed scenarios, but now in conjunction with other compatible devices so you can operate your blinds, lights, windows and heating all at the same time. It’s also compatible with a variety of smart home devices such as Amazon Echo and Google Home, so you can control you blinds using only your voice.

These two options stand alongside our ability to connect our puresolo™ Remote Control to the standard home automation RS232 or RS485 interface connections; allowing you to control your blinds from your home automation control panel.
