Traditional Look Pinoleum Conservatory Blinds

Adding Traditional Looking Pinoleum Blinds

Pinoleum Conservatory Blinds
Posted: 12 Jan 2018

Earlier this week we fitted these pure™ Pinoleum Blinds into this tall apex conservatory in Oxfordshire. The customers originally contacted us to just add some Pinoleum window blinds to their conservatory to help reduce heat. They already had pinoleum blinds – supplied by another company – in their roof, but after speaking with our sales person they also opted to replace them with our pure™ Pinoleum Blinds, both so they matched the new window blinds, and because the old pinoleum blinds had become damaged over time.

The building itself is actually an old chapel, which made the traditional look of the pinoleum blinds an obvious choice; but also provided some interesting challenges due to the height of the roof.

Manual Traditional Pinoleum Blinds

We were able to fit our pure™ Pinoleum Blinds right up into the top of the roof, providing a neat fit with minimal gaps letting in heat and light, even around the roof vents.

Despite the height of the roof, the customers opted for manual operation. To make sure they can easily open and close their blinds when they need to; we supplied them with a special 3-meter long operating pole that can reach the heights of the roof.

For the window blinds, the customers opted for the Classic Oak Headrail, which has a traditional look that matches the wood weave of the blinds – especially when we are able to match the colour of the rail to the Ivory colour of the pinoleum.

These photos are excellent at highlighting the semi-translucent nature of the pinoleum weaves. In this case, you can easily see how, unlike pleated blinds, you are still able to partially see through the blinds. While it does mean they don’t provide the same level of privacy as a fully opaque blind. Adding traditional looking pinoleum blinds keeps the conservatory feeling open. As the blinds let you still see outside while also reducing glare and helping control the temperature.
